Kia Motors are always striving to be at the forefront of the automotive industry and they currently have several concept vehicles. Here are four of the most interesting pre-production Kia cars.
-
Kia GT4 Stinger
The GT4 Stinger is a striking two-door coupe that sits low and wide with sensual curves designed to fully optimize airflow over the aerodynamic profile. For improved visibility, the see-through A-pillars remove a driver’s blind front spots. Unique vertical multi-LED headlights blend into the bulging fenders.
It’s powered by a 315-horsepower turbocharged engine driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The driver-focused cabin seats four and is designed for pure driving pleasure.
-
Kia HabaNiro
Redefining the compact crossover SUV is the Kia HabaNiro. It’s a fully electric all-wheel drive vehicle with a range of over 300 miles. The muscular exterior features short overhangs, aluminum skid plates and tow hooks, and rugged 20-inch wheels that define its go anywhere capability. Kia describe it as an all-electric everything car, or ECEV.
The HabaNiro has no B-pillars, and the four butterfly-wing doors open in a scissor-like motion to provide open access to the spacious high-tech interior. It has no traditional knobs, buttons, or screens, instead it’s featuring a windshield with full-width, head-up display controlled by an interactive touchpad with sensory light feedback.
-
Kia Imagine
The Kia Imagine is another all-electric concept car that is designed to capture the heart and make it beat a little faster. It’s a four-door passenger sedan featuring an induction-charged battery pack which powers a compact drivetrain. The low mounted battery pack allows for more interior space.
Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille has been reinterpreted as a tiger mask forming a distinctive ribbon of light across the front and encircling the headlights which appear to float unsupported. Ruches on the flanks and front air curtain create a rippled look giving the impression of motion. A single sheet of glass forms the windshield and roof to create an open sky effect.
Inside, 21 synchronized screens curve across the top of the dash to create a unified display. The steering wheel and pedals are recessed when the car is stationary. The drivetrain layout allows for a front trunk, or “frunk,” as well as a rear storage area.

Kia GT
The Kia GT is a full-size, four-door luxury sedan with grand touring coupe styling. The sleek design combines a high-performance exterior with interior opulence. Its arrival is announced by sculpted air intakes that wrap around over the uniquely styled headlights. At the back, the taillights form a continuous line of light and the narrow turn signals wrap around to the fenders.
Along the sleek profile, the rear-hinged back doors eliminate the B-pillar allowing easy access for rear passengers. The driver has sports style instrumentation and controls that mark this concept as a car for enthusiastic drivers as well as a long-distance cruiser.
Many of Kia’s current vehicles began as concept cars, but through innovation, they became a reality. See the full range at Huffines Kia Corinth.
