The French Room

Considered one of the best restaurants in the United States, The French Room features a menu of distinctive cosmopolitan dishes prepared by a team of internationally trained chefs. Some menu favorites include the Black Angus Beef Tenderloin, Holland Dover Sole, and House Smoked Salmon Carpaccio. The restaurant boasts an elegant atmosphere with arched windows, crystal chandeliers, and a stunning ceiling mural. The French Room is located within the magnificent Hotel Adolphus in historic downtown Dallas.
Dress: Attire is formal, and the restaurant requires men to wear a jacket.

Abacus

For a romantic upscale dining experience, give Abacus a try. This Modern-American, seafood, and steakhouse restaurant is located uptown. It offers contemporary global cuisine with Mediterranean, Southwest, and Pacific Rim influences. You can try the small-plated Dukkah Crusted Tempura Calamari, the large-plated Roasted Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast, or the signature Coconut Crab Sushi Roll. If you’d like to sample some of everything, visit the restaurant Monday through Thursday for the five- or eight-course tasting menus.

Frank

If underground is more your style, a visit to Frank is an absolute must. This unique, private dinner restaurant is located in Deep Ellum. It offers multi-course New American meals served at a massive communal table made from century-old reclaimed wood. Wondering what’s on the menu? The selection is different for every dining event, so it’s anyone’s guess. However, in the past, the menu featured everything from Battuto Bolognese with Housemade Pappardelle to Shrimp ‘n’ Grits. To get a seat at the table, you’ll need to sign up on the restaurant’s website and wait for an invitation.

Hotel St. Germain

In Uptown, you’ll find the ultra-high-end Hotel St. Germain restaurant. Located in a gorgeous boutique hotel with the same name, the restaurant offers an elegant European-style dining experience, complete with candlelight, draped curtains, and lavender roses. The menu features a short list of delectable favorites such as the Red Snapper on Forbidden Rice, Wild Mushroom Filled Ravioli, and Beef Tenderloin Filet. As you dine, you can marvel at the stunning hanging chandelier above, or you can view the beautiful ivy-covered French Quarter style garden courtyard from a nearby window.

Dakota’s Steakhouse

For a steak you may never forget, take a trip downtown to Dakota’s Steakhouse. The restaurant specializes in steak that’s tender, juicy, and aged to perfection. When you arrive, ride the elevator down to the restaurant’s underground dining room and order one of many menu favorites such as the Signature Cut Lamb, All Natural Sea Scallops, and of course, the Filet Mignon. Dakota’s also features an excellent dessert menu for after-dinner enjoyment.
