2018 Kia Stinger in Corinth, TXThe 2018 Kia Stinger GT is the upgraded trim level of the otherwise already exceptional sporty sedan. It is also Kia’s first-ever sports-inspired car. This is what you can expect from the 2018 Stinger GT.

Available Trim Levels

The 2018 Kia Stinger is available in five different trim levels. The GT model holds three of those spots with the GT, the GT1, and the GT2. This 2018 GT model is a nice upgrade from the standard 2.0-liter model but without the costlier price increase of the GT2.

Powerful Drive

The Stinger GT gives drivers a nice boost of speed with a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that produces 365 horsepower with 376 pound-feet of torque. This is compared to the standard Stinger option which includes a 2-liter which only produces 255 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

The Stinger GT comes standard with rear-wheel-drive, but drivers do have the option to upgrade to the all-wheel-drive system and eight-speed automatic transmission. The GT also has a sports-inspired steering wheel for greater traction and rounding tight corners.

Technologically-Inspired Interior

Drivers will find the interior of the 2018 Stinger GT to be technologically capable. With Nappa leather-wrapped, ergonomically designed seats, an upgraded 8-inch touchscreen driver infotainment system with voice activation, and a premium sound system; the Stinger GT does not leave you wanting for anything more.
In fact, the premium audio sound system is one of the most impressive and anticipated features of the Kia Stinger GT. You can stream your favorite playlists from the nine-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system with 720-watts of enhanced listening experience. Sync your smartphone to the Bluetooth system for a customized listening experience and turn-by-turn navigation.

Exterior Design

While even the base Stinger model is sure to turn heads with its sleek and modern design, the 2018 Stinger GT has a few additional exterior designs that make it worth the upgrade. The GT front grille is trimmed with glossy black accents with matching door handles and rear bumper. The dual-lens full LED headlights improve both the overall exterior design and the visibility of the drive.
The entire Stinger GT design is completed with larger 19-inch alloy wheels in the GT style. The exterior is also available in seven different color choices which offer three more than the base model. Exclusive GT colors include HiChroma red, Microblue pearl, and red leather.

Safety Features

Safety features on the GT trim are the same across all 2018 Kia Stinger models. Standard safety features include full-airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill start assist, and the lower anchors and tethers for the child seat (LATCH) system.
The Stinger GT is one of the most affordable and inclusive sports sedans on the market. With a powerful drive system and a series of convenient interior features, it competes well with sports cars which have much higher price tags.
