It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays; part of the fun is all the events leading up to the big day. In and around Corinth, Texas, you’ll find a variety of activities and events to help get everyone in the holiday spirit. There’s plenty for the entire family to enjoy, whether it’s holiday fairs, visits with Santa, or movies in the park. Let’s take a look at some of the festive activities happening in Corinth this season.
The Holiday Event
The Holiday Event in Denton, Texas, is the perfect way to kick off the season. Hosted by A Touch of Rust Market, it takes place on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the North Texas Fairgrounds. Admission is just $5 and includes access to over 150 vendors, food trucks, and more.
Denton Holiday Lighting Festival
The Denton Holiday Lighting Festival is one of the most beloved seasonal events within easy reach of Corinth. It lights up Civic Center & Quakertown Park with a tree-lighting ceremony, music, dancing, food, drink, and festive cheer — all from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on December 6, 2025.
Parties of all ages love the snow hill (yes — fake snow for tubing!), trackless-train rides, and even a chance to meet Santa. The festival offers All-Access wristbands (which provide unlimited rides) or a VIP wristband package that includes a commemorative ornament and priority line access.
It’s a magical way to kick off the holiday season — music, lights, and fun for everybody.
Old Town Holiday Stroll
The Old Town Holiday Stroll in Lewisville, Texas, is an event featuring a variety of activities for the entire family. It all takes place on Saturday, Dec. 3, beginning at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast with Santa. Other happenings throughout the day include:
- 22nd Annual Motorcycle Toy Run.
- Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville Christmas Parade.
- Elf Scavenger Hunt & Crafts.
- Carriage Rides through Old Town Historic Home District.
- Lewisville Lights! Tree Lighting Ceremony.
- Movie in the Plaza.
While each of these events is worth checking out, the Huffines Auto Dealerships Cattle Drive Parade is a must-do. Enjoy the view from the sidelines, or create your own float to enter the parade. Afterward, the entire family can enjoy shopping and crafts in Old Town Lewisville, check out the midway attractions, and listen to live music. Finally, make sure to stay for the tree-lighting ceremony and end the night with a holiday movie under the stars.
A Touch of Rust
According to Flea Market Decor Magazine, a Touch of Rust is one of the top holiday markets. It started over 10 years ago with a dream of bringing a unique event to small-town Texas. It features local and regional vendors who return to the market annually to showcase their work. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most popular holiday events in the area.
Lights on the Lake Little Elm
Get your holiday season started with the annual Lights on the Lake event in Little Elm, Texas. Although this event is known for its spectacular light show, guests can also enjoy food trucks, vendors, and live entertainment. Some popular activities include a hot air balloon glow, a Ferris wheel, a carousel, an ice-skating rink, and numerous photo spots perfect for capturing your holiday memories.
Lights on the Lake opens Thursday, Nov. 25, and runs until Dec. 27. You can visit from 6-10 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. The themes throughout the event include:
The Light Park — Light-Up Drive-Thru Experience
This is a wonderful seasonal treat: a drive-through holiday light show at Little Elm Park, featuring millions of colorful lights synchronized to festive music.
You and your family (or friends!) can stay cozy in the car — or walk nearby — while soaking in dazzling displays. There are also concessions/snacks available, adding to the atmosphere.
The show runs from early November through early January, making it a great option any evening.
Santa Around Town — Santa on a Fire Truck
For a more relaxed, neighborhood-style holiday outing, Santa makes the rounds in Little Elm on a fire truck between early and mid-December.
Families can track his route via the official map (Snowflake Map or Candy Cane Map) and wave when Santa passes — a low-hassle, festive way to get into the spirit.
A Merry Little Elm Christmas: Parade & Tree Lighting
Another great event in Little Elm is their parade, tree lighting, and holiday festivities. Expect live music, a parade, photo opportunities with Santa, and a festive holiday market throughout the Lakefront district.
It’s a fun and lively way to celebrate with the community — before or after the parade, you can grab bites or stroll local shops and enjoy holiday deals.
Movie in the Park — Holiday Edition
For something low-key but still festive, don’t miss the Movie in the Park happening in Corinth Community Park. In past years, the screening of “The Polar Express” brought families together with hot cocoa, kids’ crafts, Santa visits, and even train-themed fun before the movie started.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs, pack some warm snacks, and set up under the stars — it’s a cozy, community-centered way to enjoy the holidays without going far.
Holiday Express (on the A-Train)
On Saturday, December 3, the Greater Denton Arts Council and the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) will take over the local DCTA A-train and transform it into the Holiday Express. This holiday-themed train ride is the perfect way to celebrate the season as a family. Stop for brunch, explore Elf’s Playland, and head to Denton’s version of the North Pole, where you can enjoy even more family-friendly activities.
Local Holiday Markets & Craft Fairs
If you love finding unique gifts, décor, or handmade treasures, there are Christmas-themed markets near Corinth that deliver just that. The general “Corinth Christmas Markets” listing shows several artisan-style fairs and seasonal shopping events within the area.
These markets are great for holiday gift hunting — whether you want handcrafted ornaments, holiday treats, or one-of-a-kind presents. And browsing these feels extra special, especially when paired with warm drinks, family, or friends, and that festive holiday buzz in the air.
Christmas at the Commons
One of Corinth’s can’t‑miss holiday events is Christmas at the Commons, right here in town at The Commons at Agora! This family‑friendly celebration (Saturday, December 20, 2025) brings genuine winter fun — think ice skating, snow tube slides, festive games, cookie decorating, local vendors, live performances, bumper cars, and more. There’s even a sensory‑friendly hour so everyone can enjoy the holiday magic in a calmer environment. Best of all? All activities are free and there’s a special Santa photo opportunity to preserve the memories!
