The Holiday Event in Denton, Texas, is the perfect way to kick off the season. Hosted by A Touch of Rust Market, it takes place on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the North Texas Fairgrounds. Admission is just $5 and includes access to over 150 vendors, food trucks, and more.

According to Flea Market Decor Magazine, a Touch Of Rust is one of the top holiday markets. It started over 10 years ago with a dream of bringing a unique event to small-town Texas. It features local and regional vendors who return to the market annually to showcase their work. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most popular holiday events in the area.

Denton Holiday Lighting Festival

The annual Denton Holiday Lighting Festival is a can’t-miss event in the area. The first lighting took place in 1988, and the festival has made illuminating the trees of the Courthouse-on-the-Square lawn a tradition for families ever since. It starts at 6 p.m on Friday, Dec. 2, and features food, music, arts and crafts, and more for the entire family. Live entertainment is performed by local musicians and the Denton Community Band, which has been part of the celebration since its inception.

The three-lane snow hill is always a hit with festival-goers of all ages. Don’t miss your chance to experience what it’s like to slide down a snowy hill on a tube. The trackless train will take you on rides around the festival, or you can experience a horse-drawn carriage ride. And, of course, the kids will get their chance to visit Santa Claus.

Admission to the event is $10 for an All-Access wristband, or you can get a VIP Access package for $30. VIP Access includes an official t-shirt, the commemorative ornament of the year, and priority line access with unlimited rides on the snow hill, train, and horse-drawn carriages.

Old Town Holiday Stroll

The Old Town Holiday Stroll in Lewisville, Texas, is an event with plenty of activities for the whole family. It all takes place on Saturday, Dec. 3, beginning at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast with Santa. Other happenings throughout the day include:
