The Kia Forte is a compact car available in a sedan and hatchback body style. It comes in several different trims to help drivers get the features they want. Choose the sedan, and you can choose the base LX, the S, or the loaded EX trim, while the hatchback comes in the LX, EX, and SX trims. Here is information about each to help you decide which Kia Forte Trim suits you.
The LX
Both the sedan and hatchback offer the base LX trim. This comes with 15-inch steel wheels, power accessories, and air conditioning. It also has heated mirrors, a trip computer, a four-speaker stereo system with satellite radio, an auxiliary jack, and a USB port. The LX comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque and comes with front-wheel drive. A six-speed manual transmission is also standard, but a six-speed automatic is an option. A rearview camera is available as an option on the LX trim, and standard on all the other trims. The hatchback LX has larger 16-inch steel wheels.
The S
The S trim is only available with the sedan and adds a sport-tuned suspension to the LX, along with 16-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. This trim adds a chrome exhaust, a black cloth interior with white stitching, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features. Add the Technology package for lane departure warning with mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. The Premium Package for the S adds to the Technology Package with heated front seats, a navigation system with voice controls, and a sunroof.
The EX
The EX trim adds a more potent 2.0-liter engine. The EX sedan has 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Forte5 hatchback has 17-inch alloy wheels. Both body styles have LED turn signals, tail lights, and keyless ignition and entry. Inside the EX, drivers will get leather seats, heated front seats, and the Premium Plus package option for those who want to add a sunroof and extra safety technology. This package also adds navigation, adaptive xenon headlights, cooled front seats, and driver memory settings.
The SX
The hatchback’s SX trim adds a sport-tuned suspension, larger front brakes, and 18-inch wheels. This trim also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Kia’s Uvo eServices, and LED taillights. The engine is a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder with 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Available options include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, heated and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, an HD radio, and a navigation system. You can also get the Orange Color Package with orange leather seat inserts with contrasting stitching.
