The Art Exhibition: Form & Function began last October and goes all the way to this July, making it an excellent option for springtime. This event is focused on the valuable source materials that Denton’s rich clay soil is known for. The art exhibition is hosted by the Office of History and Culture and is located at the Denton County Courthouse-on-the Square Museum.

Patrons can look forward to seeing historic pottery work of utilitarian ceramics. These vessels were made by early Denton settlers, who used their skill to begin a ceramics industry in the area. Since then, potters have made the vessels more intricate with distinctive forms, glazes, and markings. You can find this exhibit at the Denton Courthouse-on-the Square Museum, which is located at 110 W. Hickory St. in Denton. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekday.
