Basketball

Basketball is a great sport that focuses on teamwork and technical skills, and since you’ll be running back and forth on a 94-foot court, you’ll be getting an intense cardio workout. Just outside of Corinth, Denton department of Parks and Recreation Athletics offers basketball to adults during Spring, Summer, and Fall and each season guarantees eight rounds of games.
Many religious congregations offer team sports for community building and Prestonwood Baptist Church is no exception. There are both men’s and women’s leagues offering basketball to adults age 18 and older. Morning games happen daily Monday through Friday and afternoon games occur on the weekends.

Volleyball

Indoor volleyball, offered by your local congregation or parks and recreation department, is a great way to stay in shape and lead a healthy lifestyle. You’ll get your heart-rate up with all the running and jumping you’ll be doing and increase hand-eye coordination in your efforts to keep the ball in the air. Indoor volleyball is a great way to work up a sweat while staying in the comfort of a cool AC.
Perhaps you are an outdoors person and would enjoy feeling the bright sun warming your skin as you participate in sports. Luckily, you can find an outdoor volleyball league in Corinth as well. Work on your tan and enjoy yourself all while lowering your risk of heart disease.

Baseball/Softball

Corinth offers its residents several different baseball and softball league options. From Lake Cities Girls Softball Association to Corinth Area Baseball, you’re sure to find a league that you fit into. Sprinting from base to base on offense or running the field to catch the ball on defense is a fun way to stay in shape. The pre-game stretches and workouts will also help to increase your strength and flexibility. Both baseball and softball are great sports to join in order to stay active; just be sure to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water during training and play.

Soccer

Soccer is the most physically demanding sport on the list, requiring a great amount of stamina to play. You don’t have to be an Olympic athlete to enjoy the sport and longtime play will help you to increase your energy and endurance. With all the running soccer requires you’ll easily be able to maintain a lean and healthy figure. Contact your local parks and recreation department for more information on joining a league.
Daily physical activity is important for maintaining a healthy weight and reducing stress. When looking for a productive, active, and healthy weeknight or weekend activity consider joining one of these four team sports.
