Take Your Four-Legged Friend Out for Some Fun at These Denton Area Dog Parks

They are a part of the family and sometimes they just need some playtime. The Denton area is a pretty dog-friendly city and is home to some amazing dog parks. Here’s a list for you of the favorite places to take your furry friends out for some fun.

Wiggly Field Dog Park

This large dog park is open daily from sunrise to sunset every day but Wednesday. They have separate play areas for dogs of all sizes. They also provide human and pet drinking fountains. If your dog is a little shy don’t worry, there is a place for them too at Wiggly Field. Dogs do have to be leashed unless you are in one of the fenced areas. You can find this great dog park at 1760 East Ryan Road in Lake Forest Park in Denton.

Ruff Range Dog Park

Just a short commute from Denton, Ruff Range is another great dog park option. They have 2.5 acres of open space with different areas for your dog friend to run and play. There are areas for dogs less than 25 pounds and one for dogs over 25 pounds. They are open from sunrise to sunset every day except for Thursdays. You can find Ruff Range at the B.F. Phillips Community Park in Frisco.

Southlake Dog Park

This one is on the smaller side but it is another great dog park located in the Denton area. You can find it a short drive away at 2901 North Chapel Boulevard in Southlake. They have areas for dogs of all sizes as well as places for your pooch to get a drink. The area is mostly mulch though so keep that in mind if your dog has long hair. This one is great for those whose dogs need to get a little energy out but you want to make sure to be able to see them the whole time.

Hound Mound Dog Park

Hound Mound Dog Park is a favorite and is located at 1202 Garden Ridge Boulevard in Flower Mound. They have several different large, fenced-in areas for your furry friend to run free. They also provide places for you to sit while your dog plays. You will also find a pet waste station, ample amount of parking space, and lots of natural shade so you and your dog don’t get too hot. They open at 7 a.m. and close at dusk.

Unity Dog Park

Last on the list of dog parks around Denton is Unity Dog Park. This 1.5-acre park has separate play areas for large and small dogs. They are open from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily so there are plenty of hours in the day for you to bring your four-legged pal here. You can find this one at 2200 Briarhill Boulevard in Highland Village.
