Which Kia Can I Take Offroad?

Known for making dependable and reliable vehicles, Kia has a lineup with something for every driver. If you spend your days commuting up and down the highway to work or running errands around Corinth, there’s a Kia model that’s perfect for you, but did you know that if you like to spend your time exploring rough terrain and going on off-road adventures, you can also do it in a Kia. Take a look at some of the Kia SUVs that are capable of taking you off-road.

Rip Through the Trails With the Kia Sportage X-Pro Prestige

The Kia Sportage combines a modern, sharp styling with high-tech features in the cabin, and this is more apparent in the first off-road version. The latest version of the Kia Sportage is larger than its predecessor, and the longer wheelbase is sure to improve your experience behind the wheel. With seating for up to five people and a cargo area that can accommodate over 74 cubic feet of gear, you can tackle anything in this SUV.

The new Sportage X-Pro Prestige gets power from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine that develops 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. It works with an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD). It rides on 17-inch wheels with BFGoodrich all-terrain tires and has 8.3 inches of ground clearance, which is more than the rest of the Sportage lineup.

Tackling rough terrain will be easier than ever with the Multi-terrain Drive Modes designed to give you better traction on all types of terrain and make handling uneven surfaces a breeze when you take your Kia off-roading.

Take Your Ride Off-Road in the Kia Telluride

The Kia Telluride is ready for anything and has the space so you can bring your friends along for the adventure. A 3.8-liter V-6 engine under the hood produces 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, and you can pair this with a capable AWD system for enhanced traction when the road gets rough.

The Kia Telluride X-Pro models have a lifted suspension to give you the extra ground clearance you need when driving over uneven terrain, and the 18-inch wheels ride on all-terrain tires with taller sidewalls to make them more effective over off-road terrain. This Telluride also has an upgraded off-road-tuned suspension. In addition to these extra features, the Telluride X-Pro has an increased towing capacity over the rest of the lineup and can pull up to 5,500 pounds.

The X-Pro equipment comes with either the SX trim equipment or the SX Prestige. Both of these have a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touch-screen display featuring integrated navigation with turn-by-turn directions available to help you find your way through any adventure. The LED projector-beam headlights provide plenty of light after the sun goes down, and the dual sunroofs give the Telluride’s cabin an open, airy feel.

Head To Your Next Adventure in the Kia Sorento

The Kia Sorento  is ready to tackle any challenge with its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that churns out 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission works with the engine for quick acceleration and smooth driving. AWD is available with any of the Sorento models to give you plenty of traction over rough roads.

The Sorento is the perfect choice when you want an off-road adventure with friends. It has three rows of seats and room for up to seven people, but it’s smaller than the Telluride, so it’s easier to handle. Choose the S trim for roof rails so you can strap your kayak, bike, or paddleboard to the roof. This trim also has synthetic leather upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat to add to the ride comfort.

Staying connected is just as important when you’re driving over rough terrain, and the Sorento has what you need. A 10.25-inch infotainment touch screen comes in the S trim and above. It works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and has an integrated navigation system. The optional X-Line S Package makes AWD standard and adds raised roof rails for added utility.

Your Adventure Awaits in a Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos may be one of the smallest SUVs in the Kia lineup, but it’s no less mighty. This subcompact crossover has a surprising amount of space in the cabin and a bold design. You get a choice of engines with the Seltos. The base powertrain is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 146 horsepower, but you can upgrade to a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder that churns out 195 horsepower. AWD comes standard with the X-Line, LX, and SX trims, so you can confidently handle some rougher terrain.

This adventure-ready SUV has a tech-savvy cabin and all the amenities you want for a ride over any terrain. The cabin has room for five, and everyone has a comfortable place to sit. You can stay connected to your friends and family no matter where your travels take you with the 8-inch or 10.25-inch touch-screen infotainment system that works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The integrated navigation system ensures that you’ll always find your way, and the available Wi-Fi hotspot makes connecting to the internet quick and easy.

The ride to your adventure will stay safe with all the available safety systems. Features such as forward collision warning, automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning will make you feel safe and confident behind the wheel.
